Virtual talk with author Marianne Jones

Virtual talk with author Marianne Jones

Thunder Bay based author Marianne Jones will be sitting down with WritingCommunity.ca on March 28, 2021 to discuss her book Maud and Me (Crossfield Publishing, 2021). Maud and Me “explores the inner isolation of Nicole, a woman resigned to her role as a pastor’s wife in a small northern community.” According to the author, Maud and Me is set between Marathon and Thunder Bay in Northern Ontario, Canada.

During the virtual talk, event host Jes Trudel will discuss Maud and Me with Marianne and explore the writing, editing, and publishing process. The live audience will also have a chance to ask questions and talk to the author.

People interested in being part of the live audience may request tickets via Eventbrite. There is no cost to attend this virtual event.

March 28th was originally slated for our Winter/Spring 2021 Northern Ontario Virtual Author Panel, but Jones was the only eligible author who reached out to participate. As a result, the event will not longer be an author panel but a one-on-one author talk.

WritingCommunity.ca plans to hold more Northern Ontario author panels and talks in 2021. Northern Ontario authors who are interested may reach out to us at info@writingcommunity.ca.

A recording of our first author panel held on September 27, 2020 is still available online. Click here to watch the Summer/Fall 2020 Virtual Author Panel. A recording of our talk with Marianne Jones will be available on our website a few weeks after the event for those unable to attend live.
