Join literary agent Jes Trudel for a Sunday morning coffee

The first Office Hours session was a big success, so Jes has scheduled the next session for Sunday, March 3, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. EST.

Writers can ask anything from general questions about publishing and querying, specific questions about storytelling, or even ask questions about a previously rejected query (though Jes can’t promise to recall the details every manuscript and query, she’ll do her best to address yours). You may also have questions about the upcoming Storied North writer’s retreat. Anything publishing or storytelling related is fair game! Please note that while Jes can speak to storytelling in virtually any genre or age-group, her specialty is children’s literature.

The number of attendees will not exceed 10 to ensure everyone has a chance to have questions answered. Jes will ensure nobody monopolizes the meeting and that everyone is treated fairly and with respect.

Bear in mind, since this is not a one-on-one session, anything you ask about and the answers you receive will be heard by the other writers in attendance. In that same vein, you’ll have the benefit of learning from Jes’ answers to other writers, who may ask questions you didn’t think to ask.

Previous attendees have said:

“It’s valuable for authors who are often writing in a vacuum to get some solid information on the industry.”

Diane

“I really appreciate all the open, honest feedback and insight you gave.”

Lesley

“Kidlit friends it was seriously so insightful! If you have burning questions about writing, querying, publishing, jump on this!!”

Katie

The cost to attend one 1-hour office hours session is $10+hst (CAD). If you would like to register, click here to visit our Wave checkout portal. Jes will close the payment portal once 10 people have registered, but on the off chance registrations exceeds 10, Jes will reach out to the those who registered after the cut-off to arrange another office hours session with them.

Jes looks forward to seeing who is able to join her for Sunday morning coffee!
