It was when at Georgian College studying Interior Design, a Professor brought to my attention that I had a talent for writing. The notion to write came to me while working through mental health problems in 2008. Music creating came with my first album in 2011. As for now, I hold 200+ songs to my collection. With four sixteen-song albums, the latest release is a 23-song album named ‘Everland’ available for download on Apple Music. My stage name began as Aprilstar then was changed to Rikka Shai in 2013. My publications include: – Everland (2018). Poetry/Music published on Apple Music. – Loving A Drummer (2012). A memoir published on blurb.ca – The Montpelier Reaching (2014).
