The Team
WritingCommunity.ca was founded by two writers, Jes Trudel and Veronique Ginglo-Robert. They met at a local writers group in Timmins and founded the Silverleaf Writers Guild together with other writers in the community. The guild eventually transformed into this digital space for writers, with Jes and Veronique at the helm.
Jes Trudel is a writer, editor, and entrepreneur. As a marketing and communications professional, Jes has worked across many industries including real estate, hospitality, retail, finance, and consulting. Before WritingCommunity.ca, Jes founded three businesses, including a family automotive business that operates in her hometown of Timmins, ON. Jes authors the Disorder Inc. blog here on WritingCommunity.ca as a way to share her intersecting experiences with mental health and entrepreneurship. Jes is a mom of four.
Veronique Ginglo-Robert is a writer, mother, and community support worker. Veronique has been working with kids and seniors for most of her adult life (but she likes people in between, too). Her poetry on the subject of mental health was published in Creative Talents Unleashed’s I Have A Name anthology.
