Announcing details of the 2023 Indie Author Book Expo North

We are excited to announce details for the Indie Author Book Expo North!

Indie Author Book Expo North (formerly known as the Northern Ontario Book Fair) is an opportunity for indie authors to sell their books, meet with readers, learn about writing, and network with other indie authors in their area. The event is like a trade show for independent authors and every year we have a blast!

The next Indie Author Book Expo North will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Timmins Public Library. Registration for the expo is FREE in 2023! This is the first time we’ve been able to do this. We are very excited and so grateful to the Timmins Public Library for partnering with us.

In addition to the trade show, there will be a bonus storytelling workshop from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., facilitated by event organizer. Jes Trudel will be teaching storytellers how to use her unique Story Endings Matrix, which outlines the five different types of story endings possible across multiple mediums, including books, TV, film, poetry, sonwriting, and more. This workshop will also be free!

If you are coming from out of town and need a place to stay, our event sponsor Holiday Inn Express Timmins will have a block of rooms available for authors and other attendees at a reduced rate. The book expo is taking place on the same weekend as Rock on the River. We encourage you to attend the fair in the Saturday afternoon and enjoy the concert on Friday and Saturday evening.
